Damaged hair is mostly caused by blow-drying, too much sun exposure, harsh shampoos, wind and chemical treatments. Using hair dye and changing your shampoo frequently can also lead to damage hair. You can tell your hair is damaged when you have one or all of these signs – rough hair texture, over-porosity, dryness, brittleness, split ends, no elasticity or susceptible to breakage, becomes spongy and matted when wet, the color fades or absorbs too rapidly.
